Effective July 1, 1999, new area code 469 will overlay area codes
214 and 972 in Dallas, TX.  No existing numbers will be changed.

ALL FORMER 214 EXCHANGE PREFIXES REMAIN IN THE 214 AREA CODE.
ALL FORMER 972 EXCHANGE PREFIXES REMAIN IN THE 972 AREA CODE.

There will be no permissive dialing period because no numbers are
being changed.  Local calls will have to be dialed 1+10 digits
after April 16, 1999.

Test number: (469) 430-1000 gives recording if successfully dialed.
